Buying Nevados men's hiking shoes

Hiking recently around Tahoe and Big Bear made me appreciate my Nevados men’s hiking shoes because I could walk the trails in comfort.

The Nevados models are sturdy. I didn’t wear hiking shoes or hiking boots until my wife bought me and herself a pair of the Nevados hiking shoes. I usually wore my running shoes which worked well on most of the trails where we traveled. However, the extra wear of the loose, jagged rocks caused my running shoes to wear down much faster than needed.

But my last pair of hiking boots were heavy and awkward. I usually ended up having blisters on my heel unless I wore a thick pair of hiking socks. The Nevados Kaibab men’s hiking shoes have changed my outlook.

Support along the soles and the heel is one of the most impressive things about the hiking shoes. The tread is extremely thick and sturdy. The upper consists of suede and mesh with a firm rubber support coming up the back of the hiking shoe above the heel. While the shoe is firm, it is also flexible and conforms nicely to the feet as they bend when climbing over larger rocks and fallen trees. The toe is also firm and supportive.

You can buy the shoes online through Amazon. For the money it costs to buy the Nevados shoes, I must say it’s money well spent since it also saves wear and tear on my running shoes.

I searched for a company website but I couldn’t find one until I discovered the Nevados is manufactured by American Sporting Goods Corporation in Irvine, California. They also manufacture AVIA running shoes which provide good support at a discount price.

You don’t need thick, heavy socks to wear the Nevados hiking shoes. I usually wear low cut running socks unless I’m planning to go through heavy brush.
